Coach Kevin Kerr holds the position of Coach-in-Chief and Director of all Atlanta Knights hockey operations.  His professional playing career and professional coaching experience is unmatched.  Coach Kerr accumulated numerous records and achievements during his 19 year professional hockey playing career.  He set the all time goal scoring record at the minor professional hockey level and accumulated more than 1,300 points during his career and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005.  He was selected 56th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.  After his impressive playing career, Coach Kerr went on to coach professionally as Head Coach for the North Bay Skyhawks (NOJHL) and for the Flint Generals (IHL).  Coach Kerr is the senior member of the Atlanta Knights Junior Hockey Club staff and has a supervisory position over the entire program.

In Coach Kerr’s first season with the Knights, he guided a young and inexperienced Knights team to and unprecedented undefeated and untied SEJHL league record and a SEJHL League Championship and an automatic bid to USAH Junior National Championships.  At Nationals, the young Knights went undefeated through the National Championship preliminary games but lost in the national Championship game against the Chicago Huskies.  Under Kerr the Knights amassed a 46-6-1 record.
